ABOUT US

The Cline Cornerstone carries forward the extraordinary legacy of Bertha Thomason Cline, a trailblazer whose journey in the 1950s at Prairie View A&M University was shaped by sisterhood, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to service.

At a time when access, opportunity, and representation were limited, Bertha and her peers leaned on one another—forming bonds that sustained them through rigorous training and into lives of purpose-driven care. Nursing was more than a profession; it was a calling rooted in community, resilience, and responsibility.

Inspired by her story and by the generations of nurses who followed in her footsteps. The Cline Cornerstone was created to ensure that today’s aspiring nurses are never walking alone.

Rooted in legacy and driven by purpose, The Cline Cornerstone is dedicated to supporting the next generation of nurses through mentorship, resources, and community—honoring a legacy of resilience, service, and sisterhood that began at Prairie View A&M University.

“We stand on the shoulders of those who made a way—our work ensures the path forward is more accessible for those who follow.”
